The American Wildlife Refuge is a privately owned Not-For-Profit corporation formed for the express purpose of supporting and providing care for wildlife and public education by creating shows and exhibits for the public at large. The Refuge will strive towards community understanding of nature and wildlife and attempt to provide a haven for endangered and protected wildlife in the following ways:

To provide a place in which injured and disabled animals may survive.
To increase community awareness towards the plight and truth of nature, natural processes, and wildlife survival.
To provide a place for exhibits and shows to educate the young about nature and wildlife.
To provide support, information, and education to those with injured wildlife so they may more efficiently care for it.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

There are 2 ways to help, you can either donate time, or donate money.

Donate Time- There is a huge amount of work to be done. Land needs to be cleared, cages need to be constructed, and so on. If you are unable to do physical work, you can still do errands such as get information out , contact perspective sponsors, or help bring food and such to workers. We also need help setting up advertising flyers and making up packets for sponsors to review.

Donate Money- The refuge is a non-profit organization, it is totally financed by the fees it charges for lectures, wildlife education exhibits, and voluntary donations. If you can help get the word out that the refuge exists, more lectures mean more money, more money means better facilities. If you wish to donate money, or if you would like to help find people to donate, call us and we will give you information on what the refuge is looking for.
