Did you know?

Owl's eyes are fixed in their sockets so they must rotate their heads (up to 270 degrees) to look around. The eyes are held forward of the skull in bony tubes (see photo) to make them able to be forward facing without  the forehead interfering with their vision like it does in hawks. alt
